In episode 54 of The Road To Wisdom Podcast, Chloe and Keshia welcome Hayley, who generously shares her poignant story of losing her husband Diego to cancer. Hayley narrates the journey from his diagnosis to his peaceful passing at home with the support of a death doula. She discusses the immense challenges of navigating cancer treatment within the allopathic system, including surgery with Charlie Tao, and facing rejection by the hospital system afterward. Throughout this period, Hayley also had to manage raising children and giving birth. She touches on alternative therapies and explores the parallels between birth and death, emphasising the importance of honoring death as we do birth. Hayley's story inspires us to reconsider how we let our loved ones pass and how we can truly celebrate and honour them outside the mainstream medical system.
