Today’s guest is Kara McNabb, a traditional naturopath and somatic therapist. A strong-willed individual at heart, Kara dealt with her symptoms for quite some time before finally finding the answers to her persistent health symptoms. After solving her health puzzle on her own, she’s actively taking steps to both detox her body and remove the mold contamination from her home.

Choosing to look on the bright side, Kara is grateful to finally find the answer to her health issues. Armed with a new awareness of mold exposure and its byproducts, she’s using her experience to help her clients suffering from similar experiences.

Today’s Talk:

In this episode, Michael Rubino chats with Kara about her unique mold experience. Kara’s mold journey officially started in 2020, right as the nationwide lockdown was initiated due to Covid-19, but she believes her journey probably started 5-6 years prior when she bought her home. The five or six unfortunate water events that occurred after she moved in also probably didn’t help. Working from home, coupled with the stressful events of that time, is what she believes ramped up her symptoms to a level she couldn’t ignore.

She went through various phases trying to determine exactly what was causing her 40 plus symptoms that were both physical and psychological. As someone whose career revolves around helping others heal, she became increasingly frustrated that she couldn’t figure out exactly what was causing her to feel unwell. “I can’t fix myself and I can always fix myself.” It took one chance Facebook encounter for her to nail down exactly what was triggering her body’s reactions: mold.

From that moment on, she dug into research regarding mold and mycotoxicity so that she could begin taking steps to finally find relief. She’s well on her way to healing both her body, her mind, and her home and strongly advocates for anyone suffering from similar experiences to take it one day at a time. Do what you can, when you can but, above all, don’t avoid the problem and hope that it goes away. Actively work to take steps towards detoxifying the body and removing mold from your indoor environment.

Now, she’s using her experience with mold exposure to help her clients who were struggling with chronic illnesses find relief.
