In this episode I had the privilege of chatting to Audrey Leishman, who fought through the battle of her life at age 31 to survive a fight with sepsis which gave her a 5% chance of survival and 5 days in a coma. Learning about sepsis and listening to her story was extremely powerful and I encourage you all to give it a listen and make yourself aware of the symptoms and signs of sepsis. It can hit quickly with the survival rate dropping by 8% every hour untreated. It was amazing having Audrey on the podcast and I am extremely grateful for the chat. I wanted to jump on today and give you all an insight into my experiences with meditation, the benefits it can provide, and much more in the mediation space. Meditation has been a huge part of my life now for 7-8 years and something that has changed, developed and grown over the years. From a practice of solely guided meditations, to now silent meditations, I have seen so much growth in myself and connection to myself that I didn’t have before. I have gone from periods of meditating 400 plus days in a row, to having time without meditating, to now seeing it as an invitation each morning to begin my day and to get to know myself on a deeper level. I wanted to give you all an insight into the experiences I have had with meditation and the important role it has played in my life, and how you can tailor a meditation practice in your life to feel the benefits.
