  • "Am I Going to Die?” Ellie Harrison Was Diagnosed With HIV At 21

    A Routine STI Check. A Life-Changing Diagnosis.

At 21, Ellie Harrison was living her London dream; working in fashion, in a long-term relationship, studying and partying with friends. Then a routine STI check changed everything: she was HIV positive. Her diagnosis was a complete mystery, and in that moment it felt like the sky was falling. • The key differences between HIV and AIDS
    • The stigma and prejudice she’s faced

  • "What REALLY Happened When I Confronted Belle Gibson"

In 2015, Australian con woman Belle Gibson was living the dream. Her app The Whole Pantry was hugely popular and she was about to launch a book of the same name.

With hundreds of thousands of followers online, Belle had become a celebrated wellness influencer who'd overcome terminal cancer and had cured herself with healthy eating and holistic therapies. But it was all a lie.

The truth came to light when her friend, Chanelle McAuliffe, noticed gaps in Belle's story. The moment she exposed her deception is now the focus of the Netflix series Apple Cider Vinegar.

Today, Chanelle tells us what the show got right and wrong, the challenges she faced as a whistleblower, and how she feels about Belle and her crimes now, a decade on.

  • What Happened To Sophie Delezio [re-release]

In this conversation from the archives we go back to 2003, when a two-year-old girl captured the hearts of Australians after she was involved in an accident at her NSW childcare centre. Her name was Sophie Delezio. A vehicle crashed into the centre and caught alight, trapping Sophie and burning 85% of her body. After that accident, she lost both her legs below the knee, her right hand and ear.

Three years later, in May 2006, Sophie was hit by a car as her nanny pushed her wheelchair across the road. The car threw her 18 metres from her wheelchair and resulted in a broken jaw, broken ribs, fractured collarbone and a punctured lung as well as bleeding on her brain and a heart attack.

But after all of that, she lived. Oh boy did she live.

    And this is her story.
