This NSDR guided meditation is designed to utilise the systematic relaxation techniques used in NSDR to bring you into the parasympathetic division of the nervous system known as 'rest and digest'. NSDR is a technique of guided meditation that is completely effortless and accessible to all. Simply find a comfortable place to rest, relax back and just listen. The techniques used here will bring you into a deep light altered state of consciousness where you land somewhere between wakefulness and sleeping. It is here where one can disconnect from the thinking mind and rest back into a sense of your true nature. As the body undergoes healing and returns to homeostasis, emerge feeling grounded, rested, and more balanced.
Non Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) is a form of guided meditation practised lying down that leads you into a healing and deeply restful state. NSDR has been shown to be effective in scientific trials for conditions including chronic pain, sleep problems, depression and anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); while increasing health, resiliency and well-being. This practice, encompassing elements like body scans, stress relief, and anxiety reduction, provides an all-encompassing solution for concerns related to insomnia. The unique approach is known for fostering non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) and can also be used to encourage the onset of sleep. NSDR serves as a form of sleep hypnosis, ushering you into a peaceful slumber or an invigorating nap as desired.
