Let me preface that I am so grateful for all the front-line workers in the health care industry. I'm going to chalk up my poor experience to the over-worked, under-paid, and all around high tensions being produced by the situation. I think (and I'm no expert) that if you haven't been exposed to someone that has been confirmed or don't show any symptoms, to avoid getting tested. I can see that the workers at my testing site were clearly under a lot of pressure and unfortunately are not operating at their best. The process at my testing site was terrible. Consider the drive-thru option if it is available but know that you'll be waiting for about 2 hours minimum. Also, the drive through was closed within 1.5 hours of being opened.
Hope you're all taking care of yourselves and each other.
From The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha and Heart Talk by Cleo Wade, I share examples of the importance of being authentic to yourself. Sure, there are times when we step outside of who we are but that's all part of us. And we might regret other times we tried hard or didn't try enough but that too is all a part of us. Jack Kornfield from Heart Wisdom podcast shares a quote by his teacher who says, "you are perfect...... with room for improvement". The sooner we embrace ourselves for our strengths and weaknesses the better we become. It doesn't mean that we stop caring, but it means we start to identify what it is we want to improve on. I also share my thoughts on the current situation of the pandemic and how proud I am of everyone doing their best. This is because the most vulnerable ones are the ones we are trying to protect.
Appreciate all the support!

How are you spending your time? I over indulge in media by way of netflix, news, youtube, you name it. Similarly to what you eat and how it translates to your physical health, the information you consume will have an impact on your mental health. During this time when often we are left to our minds, we can spiral into negative thinking which can lead to negative behaviours. It's important to track where you are spending your time to get a better understanding of which areas in your life you can decrease attention or increase attention. Hope you're all staying safe out there and taking care of one another.

I ask out a friend on a date but I was too late. This was my wake up call to start following through with my decisions instead of giving in to fear. The first phase of businesses to re-open have started today in my city. I talk about what life post-pandemic will look like and the importance of coming together which will define our humanity.

Self-awareness is key to getting ahead of your nefarious habits. I indulged in a video game that can bring out the worst in me and the one time it did I deleted the game. It's a safe-guard technique I have the discipline to put in place so I don't indulge that side of me.
I share my thoughts on cancel-culture and what boundaries mean to me. Making difficult decisions and understanding the importance of those decisions as it supports your well-being.

Today I share an article I read on blogto.com about anti-chinese sentiments.
There are many ways to defuse the energy of racists, xenophobes, and haters through non-violent ways.
Whether you're anti-white, anti-black, anti-asian, anti-[fill-in-the-blank] you're a racist.
It's during these times, where we as people, are measured in our ability to be compassionate with one another. The truest determination of our humanity.
Hope you and your loved ones stay safe!

I say 'we' in the title because I have my first ever guest and friend, The Neighbour.
I give her and all of you an update to the current pandemic situation and the precautions echoed by city and country officials.
Please consider donating medical supplies such as masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to your local hospitals as they are now facing critical levels of patients with covid-19.
Claims have been made that the hospitals in high urban areas have only weeks of supplies remaining.
