Are seed oils REALLY inflammatory? If you are just the slightest bit interested in health, wanting to eat to feel your best, you must have had this thought before, haven’t you?
In today’s episode, I hope to clear some of the air and give you an honest perspective.
When discussing these oils, we are talking about Canola (rapeseed), corn, cottonseed, grapeseed, rice bran, safflower, soy, and sunflower oils. These are what’s called “the hateful “ by some, Even if you don’t purchase these oils and cook with them at home, other places you may possibly consume them are when eating out (restaurants, fast food, pre-made food from stores) or packaged foods and snacks and some baked goods.
Seed oils have a mix of unsaturated and saturated fats and a mix of Omega 6s and Omega 3s. Overall, they fall into the category of polyunsaturated and they are higher in Omega 6s than saturated fats.
Will talk about the claims about seed oils in this episode, and whether or not they are true. Listen to today’s episode to learn more!

Picture this: The day is Halloween. You wake up excited because you cannot wait to enjoy the fun celebration of dressing up and eating candy and watching your children do the same.
You spend the day prepping for Halloween, getting costumes ready, carving pumpkins, prepping the candy and enjoying the candy like my favorites- sour patch kids and Kit Kats, Halloween themed sweets and candy corn throughout the day. Sure, these aren't foods you typically eat on a daily basis- but that's part of what makes the day so fun!
You go trick or treating with your kids, you are SO present with them, smiling and laughing and bursting with joy watching them get so excited to go to each house, knock on the door and yell, trick or treat!
You get home with all the candy. Your family goes through all the candy, picking out your favorites, enjoying eating it to the amount you desire, and end the day in bed with a smile on your face. Listen to today's episode to learn more about how to make this your reality!

Today on the show I'm honored to have Leehe Negri on the show to share with you the role a therapist plays in eating disorder recovery, how Leehe helps her clients identify diet culture in their lives and how a dietitian and therapist can complement each other in helping their clients thrive.
Leehe is a licensed mental health counselor, located in Boca Raton, FL. She works with adults with a broad spectrum of diagnoses and struggles. Leehe specializes in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) for depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder; EMDR trauma therapy for PTSD and other trauma-related struggles; and Intuitive Eating for eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. Leehe's main objective is to guide her clients in cultivating self-empowerment, wisdom, and liberation. She carefully attends to each client by implementing interventions that are uniquely targeted for his, her, or their background and goals. Leehe guides her clients in becoming their own therapists, as they learn how to master effective coping strategies and life-changing insight on their own. Have you ever wondered, why am I so damn crazy obsessed with helping people make peace with food and their body? If so, today's episode is for you!
As a bonus episode to let you know that this Sunday is the final day to join our October cohort for FBPP and that you want to join now because:
So, in today's episode I'm going to share with you my own personal journey. Listen to learn more and click here to join Food and Body Peace Playbook!
If I were to ask you, what is your self worth dependent on, how would you answer? Would it be the grades you make in school? The accolades you hold in your job? How hard you work? How good of a mom you are?
What about your body? Do you feel that your body is THE thing that either provides you self worth, or is the very thing that you feel constantly holds you back from viewing yourself in a positive light?
And maybe that's why you're always on and off diets. You're always searching the latest and greatest diet to finally "fix your body". Because you feel like once you fix your body, everything else will work out. You're not alone if you feel that way. Because that's the lie we are sold from diet culture.
In today's episode, I hope to challenge you with what you believe about your own self worth.
If you're ready to develop positive self worth, and to make peace with food and your body, join Food & Body Peace Playbook for our October cohort and final group for 2022.
FBPP is for for you if:
Who FBPP is not for:
Remember you have until October 9th to join our October cohort, which will be the final round for 2022.
What if you could get dressed everyday without negative body talk? And what if you could feel confident in your body without changing what you eat?
Today on the podcast, we are going to cover 5 specific ways to feel more confident in your body on a daily basis.
And why do we want to experience confidence in our bodies? Confidence allows us to:
Confidence in your body goes so much deeper than confidence in the way your body looks. It's confidence in what your body can do for you, the life it facilitates for you.
I mean think about it, you're going to live in this body for the rest of your life. Don't you want to feel confident in your body, not so much from a looks perspective although that's great too, but more so confidence that your body will and can take care of you?
If you are ready to gain the tools to have confidence in your body for life: Food & Body Peace Playbook (FBPP) is our signature 8 week group coaching program that will help you build trust in your body so that you can gain confidence in it.
And what this means to you is that you can wake up everyday, feeling excited to get dressed.
FBPP covers three tiers of body image work (understanding our body beliefs, body image is brain work, and how to respect and come home to your body) so that you can experience confidence again in your body.
Know that as you listen to today's episode, we are OFFICIALLY open for enrollment for our October cohort. You have from today to Sunday, October 9th or until all spots fill to join, and you can find the link to join BY CLICKING HERE!
