There are plenty of fueling options out there. Just knowing which product or food to eat is hard enough. Deciding how much food and how many gels you should consume can be even harder.

There are many reasons why your gut may be acting up during a race, but the number one reason could be because of a imbalance of osmolarity or osmolality. There is a delicate balancing act constantly going on between your gut and blood stream to make sure there is enough fluid, concentrate, and the right pH. While we are out during a race, this balancing act becomes a bit more complicated as we are doing our best to replace carbs and electrolytes lost to keep up with energy demands. Give this episode a listen to learn more, and feel free to check out my website to learn more about me and my services that can help you up your nutrition game.

Although I myself am plant-based and have seen first hand the benefits of changing my diet, there are some nutrient requirements that you could miss out on if you're not strategic in the way you eat if you are, or going plant-based. In this episode I go over which supplements you may need and why, and how to eat a well rounded diet to eliminate the need for other supplements.
