Have you ever wondered who packs the parachutes for those "cool guy" videos of Air Force Special Tactics team jumping into enemy territory or pilots ejecting from high-speed aircraft? The answer lies with the Aircrew Flight Equipment personnel, also known as "Parachute Riggers." They have one of the most important jobs in the Air Force, ensuring that the parachute opens flawlessly every time.
It's not just operators who are crucial to the mission in Air Force Special Tactics or Rescue Squadrons. We also rely on a large group of Special Warfare Mission Support AFSC's to help us achieve our goals. MSgt Gabe Macias is just one of these professionals, and he kindly joined us on this episode to discuss everything these Air Force Airmen can contribute to a wide range of Air Force Missions.
We are grateful to MSgt Macias for his insights and hope you enjoy this episode.

Changes in Air Force Special Warfare are coming fast and furious. Just recently, we had a podcast with Jarred Taylor where we dove deep into where we thought TACP was going, what fight would be next- and honestly, there wasn't a lot of agreement across the board.
So, naturally, we wanted to peel back the layers of everything we are doing and explain it all to you so you have the absolute ground truth.
We cover a lot of ground here and talk about every change from the first time you talk to a recruiter until you put on a beret. What did we miss? Leave it in the comments!

We are thrilled to have Retired USAF CCT Legend Chief Mike Lampe back for Part III! His career is one that is filled with incredible stories and experiences, and he graciously shared some of his time in the Vietnam War and beyond with us. The rich history of CCT in the USAF and our sister service counterparts would not be complete without the contributions of remarkable individuals like Chief Lampe.
As the saying goes, "we stand on the shoulders of giants," and Chief Lampe is one of those giants. We cannot thank him enough for everything he has done.
If you are enjoying this episode and appreciate what we are doing, please leave a 5-star review and share your thoughts on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to your podcasts!
