We sat down with RN & IBCLC Therese Dansby to merge perhaps one of the most important combinations for motherhood: metabolic health + breastfeeding. In a culture where there seems to be two sides yelling "breast is best!" or "fed is best!," we're here to say that perhaps "nourished & supported breastfeeding is best." The hard truth is that breastmilk nutrition does not stay fixed. The nutrition of your breastmilk is absolutely determined by your own nourishment as a mom. So that does that mean we're saying to outsource to formula to ensure that baby is getting what baby needs? Absolutely not! We're saying that moms. need. NOURISHMENT.
