What happens when the Lord anoints us? What should follow an impartation from the Lord? Training! The good works to which we have been called by the Lord are brought about by the Spirit of God. If we seek to manifest our priesthood, then the hand of God must come upon us. We must be joined to the Lord in a covenant through obedience. Through this process, the Lord's blood (i.e., the supply of His Spirit) takes effect, and we receive remission for our sins (i.e., evils are removed from our hearts). Light from heaven then shines through our natural understanding of truth and brings us into a personal knowledge of truth in the Spirit. This spiritual knowledge of truth positions us to produce good works. Every man, to the extent that he has obeyed God or walked with God, can ask the Lord for His Spirit (i.e., the blood) to manifest good works.

Righteousness (synonymous to Priesthood) is good works from a good motive and true understanding. Every transformation the Lord wroughts in man is unto this end. Man is transformed through his journey in the Wilderness. This journey, which is defined by fasting from evils, begets hunger and thirst after righteousness. Thus, such a man partners with God's harvest of souls.

This land, which is our inheritance, represents the state where the Lord is able to dwell together with and function through the man. This should be the disposition of every Christian, who desires to be used by the Lord. Such a person must be willing to go through the process of discipleship, which will qualify him or her to have a pure appreciation of the Lord’s Kingdom and what He seeks to do in the earth. This process, which entails applying the Word of God lawfully in every aspect of life, purges a man's desire to truly work for the Lord. A man whose desires have been purged by the Lord has a proper hunger for righteousness and thus, desires good, first in himself, and then in others also. There is no short-cut to this. Discipleship births apostleship.

No matter how challenging this may seem, the Lord’s promise to us is that He will not send us away fasting  –  no genuine and persistent desire of man to be used by the Lord, will go unattended to.

“All things are possible to them that believe”. However, we daily struggle to believe as the Lord would have us. We are often stuck in the sensual realm, which is a great limitation to what we can do in the Spirit. Spiritual uses, as determined by the Lord, are borne out of faith.
