Strength isn’t the key to fixing urinary incontinence.

Welcome back to another episode from the Rising Vault—where we bring back some of our most impactful episodes to highlight The Missing Piece in common pelvic health conditions.

Today, we’re tackling urinary incontinence—and the one thing that’s often overlooked:
🟢 The focus on task and timing.

Most of us were taught to assess voluntary pelvic floor strength first—but here’s the problem:
👉 Pelvic floor strength isn’t correlated with incontinence.
👉 A patient can test weak and have no symptoms at all.
👉 A patient can test strong and still have massive incontinence issues.

So instead of focusing on isolated strength, we need to ask:
 ✅ What task are they struggling with?
✅ When does the pelvic floor fail to meet the demand?
✅ How does the pelvic floor function in real-world situations?

Is biofeedback really worth your time?

Biofeedback has been a staple in pelvic therapy for years, but is it actually helping patients—or is it just another outdated tool that doesn’t deliver results?

This is a replay of one of our most thought-provoking episodes! While I’m out on maternity leave, we’re bringing back some of the best conversations we’ve had over 500+ episodes.

In this episode, Nicole shares her biggest frustrations with biofeedback, including:
🚫 It focuses entirely on the pelvic floor and ignores the full-body system.
🚫 It’s all about “strengthening”—but we know the pelvic floor is more than that.
🚫 It rarely works properly (you’ve probably struggled with faulty readings too!).
🚫 It’s internally inconsistent—the same person can get wildly different results.
🚫 It isn’t functional—training isolated contractions doesn’t translate into real-life movement.

We also break down the best arguments for and against biofeedback, looking at both sides of the debate.

Hiring a great admin is just the first step—how you onboard them is what really matters.

The first few weeks are critical in making sure your new front desk hire becomes a high-performing, confident part of your team. If you don’t set them up for success, you’ll find yourself micromanaging, frustrated, or even worse—back at square one looking for someone new.

In this final part of our Front Desk Series, we break down how to train your new admin in a way that’s efficient, clear, and sets them up for long-term success.

Here’s how we do it:
📌 Step 1: Get them comfortable with the logistics of the job and their day-to-day responsibilities.
📌 Step 2: Teach them how to confidently help existing patients with scheduling, billing, and superbills.
📌 Step 3: Train them on handling new patient calls using our primary and secondary phone scripts and call logs.
📌 Step 4: Introduce systems and processes—drop-off lists, supply orders, thank-you notes, marketing letters, and more.

We also share pro tips for onboarding, including:
✅ Give them the big picture vision of the practice.
✅ Record trainings to make future hires easier.
✅ Don’t overreact to early performance (good or bad).
✅ Do the training yourself—this is not something to outsource.

Your admin should be fully up to speed within two months and operating at a high level by three months. We also discuss key success metrics—phone conversion rates, patient booking rates, and the practice’s overall fill rate.
