Welcome to Woodycast, where we talk about all things Woody Harrelson! Wait....this is a Frasier episode?!
With over 100 Primetime Emmy nominations, 37 wins, and a 20 year stint from Kelsey Grammer as the titular pompous radio host, we all knew a Frasiercast was inevitable. Alongside Writer/Critic Carrie Wittmer, Phil taps into season 6 episode 13 "The One Where Woody Shows Up" to not only examine the show itself, and it's role in 90s sitcom culture, but its connections to Cheers, and success in paving its own path. We also talk about Woody Harrelson. Like, a lot. How could we not!

This week's SatC rewatch tests our limits, as Phil sits down with filmmaker Chandler Levack to discuss season 2, episode 9: OLD DOGS, NEW DICKS.
From schedule flexibility, to sexual rediscovery, this episode is all about change. How much is too much? How far is too far? Phil and Chandler dive deep into the wild premise, its twists and turns, and the dawn of television binge-watching on this Sex and the City Saturday.
FYI, Chandler’s mom Reggie also shows up as special guest the end!

Writer/Producer Corinne Stikeman stops by to talk about the romantic drama that critics called "competent but forgettable", "Terrible", and "A crime against humanity": AT FIRST SIGHT.
Can Val Kilmer pull off a charming leading man performance, while representing a disability with any level of authenticity or respect? Does director Irwin Winkler find any sort of potent message or quality entertainment in this incredible, perfect-for-the-screen concept? No...the answer is no. But don't worry, Kenny and Phil are here to get you through it!

This week, return guest and writer/producer Stacy Traub (Black-ish, The Real O'Neals) joins us to talk about the penultimate episode of Sex and The City's Second Season and 1999 run, "The Man, The Myth, The Viagra".
Carrie tries to get Mr. Big to meet the rest of her friends and struggles, Samantha dates an extremely wealthy and much older man, Miranda starts dating a bartender and we talk about on of the most unfortunate cameos in 2021 of all time for Sex and the City.

This week, Katie Donahoe talks to us about the surprisingly long lasting LAW AND ORDER: Special Victims Unit.
We wonder how it has lasted this long (surprisingly outlasting flagship Law and Order), go through Dick Wolf's career in television, discuss the cast and some of our favorite performances (Christopher Meloni, Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T), and wonder about its place among the all time TV procedurals.

For this SEX AND THE CITY SATURDAY, we are glad to be able to chat with Writer and Producer on the show Cindy Chupack about her experiences working on Sex and the City, working with the cast, how it influenced her work moving forward (on shows like Modern Family) and much, much more.

Writer/Comedian and Past Guest Sean O'Connor joins us this week to tackle one of 1999's most controversial films, Kevin Smith's Dogma.
Sean talks about how important Kevin Smith was to him as a teen growing up in New Jersey, Smith's career in general, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's stardom in the late 90's and the controversy generated by this film's religious content.

Put your arms on your side cause this week we are doing THE CHICKEN DANCE.
Guest Rebecca Serle (Creator of "Famous in Love" and Author of "In Five Years") joins us this week to talk about Miranda getting curved by a reporter from London, Samantha thinking she may be circling the wagons with the Manhattan dating pool, and Carrie experiences the highs and lows of life with Mr. Big.

Two of our favorite working critics Emily VanDerWerff and Libby Hill join us to talk about Brad Bird's debut feature THE IRON GIANT.
We talk about Vin Diesel, Harry Connick Jr. and peak Friends Jennifer Aniston's excellent voice performances, Brad Bird's career and philosophical underpinnings that start in this movie, and talk animation.

This Sex and the City Saturday, Ashley Lyle joins us to talk about "The Cheating Curve" episode 6 of the second season of SEX AND THE CITY.
We talk about Carrie and Mr. Big sneaking out whilst getting back together, Charlotte catching her man cheating on her and deciding to go out "man-free" and Miranda dating a pretentious movie buff.
