I want to chat about something that's been on my mind lately. It's about this habit some of us have, including myself, of bending over backward for people who don't seem to care. You know what I'm talking about. Pouring our energy into relationships or situations where the care and effort aren't reciprocated.

First, let's acknowledge that it's natural to want to be liked and to make people happy. It shows you have a big heart. 

But here's the thing: there's a fine line between caring and overextending yourself for those who barely acknowledge your efforts.
