If you lead teams and projects, one of the challenges we eventually face is scale. Inevitably, we're faced with bigger challenges, larger teams, more complexity, and--as we do that--we start to get in our own way. We become the bottlenecks ourselves, or we allow an insidious swamp of policies and procedures to grow to the point that everything takes longer. And in the process, we start to suck the life out of our people.
