Dr. Tom Field is the Program Director for the Engler Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Nebraska. He was raised on a family ranch on the western slope of Colorado and has been a lifelong learner, motivator and instructor throughout his life.
I've known Dr. Field for twenty-five years, and each time I read or hear his comments, I am challenged to think about new ways to address challenges in business, agriculture and life in general.
If you want a straightforward "how-to" on ranching, this is not your episode. But if you want to stretch your mind a bit and consider new perspectives to our lives today, I think you'll really enjoy Dr. Field's comments this week.

Darrell Stevenson is always up for a challenge, and in 2010, he began building a registered Angus herd from scratch in Russia. Not only did he provide genetics and consultation on the venture, but he also worked alongside his Russian partners and employees as they developed a 7500 head ranch within a few short years.
While in Russia, Darrell learned much about the Russian culture, and he saw first-hand the early escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war, as his ranch was 2 hours east of the Ukranian border.
Darrell will share the fascinating story of building a business in Russia, plus share his unique perspectives on the cultural challenges that are being brought to the forefront today.
