Welcome to another interview with TheKicksShrink, Dr. Sulman Aziz Mirza, MD. Dr. Mirza sits down and talks about the importance of sleep in the role of physical and mental health with his old medical school classmate, Dr. Ashtaad Dalal, MD, Double Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine.
From Dr. Dalal: "Dr. Ashtaad Dalal is originally from New York State and is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency and Sleep Medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. Dr. Dalal served as Chief Resident during his Family Medicine residency. He developed a great appreciation for Sleep Medicine while in residency and pursued it as the logical progression toward his goal of becoming a holistic physician. His focus is to provide comprehensive and personalized care for every individual patient. His focus is on sleep related disorders, including insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, restless legs syndrome, and sleep disordered breathing including snoring and sleep apnea. The average human being sleeps for one third of their life – there is no question that sleep plays a significant role in our lives and affects every individual’s health differently. Dr. Dalal believes that there is a great value in developing meaningful relationships, based on trust, and providing personalized care specific to every patient’s needs. He currently practices at PMA Health in Arlington and Falls Church, VA."
