Are you on the struggle bus with dinner prep, meal planning, and cooking? Are you having a hard time getting it together in the kitchen? … If your answer is " Heck Yes!” then this episode is for you. Today we are talking about meal planning and how you can actually achieve meal balance in your life. I know that a lot of times we say that balance is impossible --- but our guest today Kris, will walk you through her system for meal and dinner prep that ANY mom can stick with it. -What do you do if you have picky eaters? -What does “balanced” in the kitchen actually look like when it comes to meal prep and meal routines? -Can you enjoy the meal planning/cooking process? -Can you ditch the food-negative thought patterns about what you SHOULD be eating? Let’s get practical, let’s get simple, and let’s create a routine that works for you. And this routine is what Kris calls “Balanced Eating.” Not in a negative way or rule-based way but … Kris defines balanced eating as eating in a way that feels good for you. Whoo-hoo! Part 1: You need to know what balanced eating is and --- what it is not. Part 2: You need to eat foods that are satisfying to you and taste good so that you can FINALLY throw away that “food rule book.” This is just a “taste” ( hehe .... pun intended 😋) of meal planning without rules and meal planning for your lifestyle that we chat about in today's episode. Let’s ditch that overwhelm of where to start with meal planning, and as Kris would say ... “Start with what you already have and with what is already working!” Boom, mic drop! Listen in for more juicy truth bombs.

How many goals should you work on? I get this question a LOT "how many goals is TOO Many?" or "How many goals should I have?" Moms often come to me on either side of the spectrum - they have NO goals or TOO many goals. So how do you know how many is 'too many' Here are some things to consider: What is your MAIN focus for the next quarter? If I could only achieve 1 thing in each area of my life for the quarter, what would it be? If I could only work on 3 of those things, where would I spend my time? These questions will help you qualify what is most important to you and then allows you to make some cuts. While there is no right or wrong when it comes to 'how many', I want to encourage you today that LESS is MORE. By working on less goals, you can put your full attention into them and, if you achieve them earlier - start to work on BONUS goals. Instead of feeling behind, you can end the quarter proud of what you achieved and/or ahead of where you planned!

Mom life can feel super lonely. And when you're going after your goals, it's key to have a supportive space. Because something happens when you start to go after your goals. The people around you might not like it. Now, they might not SAY it but things might start to shift. They might to unintentionally (hopefully) start to sabotage you. They might start to get frustrated because you going after your goals is putting a mirror in front of them. And truthfully, while I think it's important to enroll your family inside of the vision you have for yourself and your goals - I think it's better to have an outside system of support and accountability with your goals. These are people who are more impartial and unbiased. People with similar goals who will cheer you on. People who will push you when needed and support you when you're struggling. But how can you find them? Here are some questions to ask yourself. Who do you know in real life? What community groups already exist? What can I create that isn't already there? If you notice that you've been struggling with your goals, do an audit of your support and accountability groups. It could be the missing lever to your success!
