Emotional maturity is a topic I talk about a lot because I think it’s so important for couples to understand how it plays a large part in building solid communication. Not everyone is a master communicator but lucky for us, it’s a skill that can be improved and refined over time.

When you have two emotionally mature individuals, they can have deep conversations about whatever topics are important to them and their partner can listen without being dismissive. They can also have difficult conversations without feeling like the other one is out to get them. Together they have the maturity to resolve issues instead of letting them fester.
