In today's meditation we are embracing Radical Acceptance. The term comes out of dialectical behaviour therapy(DBT), but the roots go much deeper into mindfulness, Buddhist philosophy, and even Stoicism. It’s about the deep (and often uncomfortable) truth that pain is part of life, but suffering is what happens when we resist that pain.
Radical acceptance says: This is happening. This has happened. I don’t have to like it, but I can stop turning away from it.
It may not be easy but it certainly makes life easier.
Much love
