Happy Valentine’s Day! This is a timely episode with it being February 14th and we’re really excited to be talking with financial therapist Ed Coambs. Ed is an internationally recognized leader in financial therapy who has been cited by the Wall Street Journal, the AP, Time, and CNBC. And he has the credentials as well- he earned his master's degrees in business, counseling, and financial planning and is a licensed marriage and family therapist, certified financial planner, and certified financial therapist. Ed leads couples through therapy from financial despair and frustration into financial intimacy and connection, by helping them figure out and understand what’s really going on. And we discuss some of the concepts in his book as well: “The Healthy Love & Money Way”. In the book he explains where our attitudes toward money stem from, and what we should do about it. We discuss attachment styles, common relational money issues, financial infidelity, and more during this episode.
