Ruck 'n Roll

After a wind delay (surprisingly not caused by Stephen J Peak) and some technical set backs this episode of Ruck n’ Roll is finally here, but Finey isn’t. The delectable delights of Lenny’s Fine Foods have not stolen him from our presence, in fact it was a school reunion. Those former grade three’s can be very persuasive, and who could say no to all that red cordial?

Meanwhile on the show, plenty of sport for our pontification (Thanks for the big word SJP). A moving tribute to a footy champion in the Deathalyser and the musical banter is to say the least, over rated. No, it really is.

The good news keeps coming. It is a delight to have Ken Francis back, Kev wasn’t washed ashore on an Inverloch beach like another ancient relic and Stephen J Peak wasn’t that relic.

All the food groups get ticked this week, including politicks? Brian blows his horn - or is that his TRUMPet? - on the latest from the US elections.

Is it game over in the footy tipping or will there be a late surge or a sneaky Fine-Hillier manoeuvre that will turn the tables? 

There is a big serving of sport from AFL to Euros to cricket plus some golf, rugby and baseball. Musically we turn our attention to advertising jingles and what a blast that turned out to be. Uncle Sam, Louie the Fly and Rheem come on heavy, hot and strong before a big finish to the show - our RnR tribute to the advertising jingles.

Brian is as shaky as the Giants' spot in the AFL top 8, but as Toby Green as he might feel, he soldiered on, not to mention he is still leading the Lenny's Fine Food Footy Tipping. But let's not mention that.

Finey is no shrinking violet, so he is pretty peeved at the downsizing of many of our favourite food items, from ice creams to hamburgers.

The best and worst memories of television music shows showcases some forgotten classics like GTK, Hit Scene, Uptight and Finey's cameo on Beatbox.

And to finish, remember where the steward told you the sick bags are because Brian debuts his AI song for all the Gold Coast Girls.
