Former aerial skier Alisa Camplin became a household name in Australia when she won gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics. It was Australia’s second ever Winter Olympics gold. When she competed in the Games she did so against doctor’s advice because she’d fractured both ankles in training just two weeks earlier.
