English version below.

Marc has had an extraordinary career path—from his training as a conductor in Paris to leadership roles at Bertelsmannand Arcandor AG, and finally to founding Spexa, which combines health data with corporate performance.
A quote that really stuck with me:

Wie verändert KI den Arbeitsmarkt, CHRISTINA LANGER?
English version below

In this episode of the SAATKORN podcast, I speak with Christina Langer, Senior Economist at StepStone and Research Fellow at the ifo Institute. Following her research work at the Stanford Digital Economy Lab, Christina now combines academic labor market research with StepStone’s real-time labor market data.
One statement in particular stuck with me:
“AI will likely become a basic skill—just like using a computer or writing emails.”
Among other things, we discussed the following topics:
🤖 AI expands tasks rather than just replacing them
Christina shares research findings showing that generative AI can help mid-level employees take on more challenging tasks—without compromising their understanding.
📉 Entering the workforce is getting harder
The number of entry-level positions is significantly below the long-term average. At the same time, Christina explains why companies could face a problem in the long run if they neglect to invest in young talent today.

Wie wird der EU AI Act HR-Tech verändern, INGOLF TEETZ?
English version below

How will the EU AI Act change HR tech, Ingolf Teetz?
In this episode of the SAATKORN podcast, I speak with Ingolf Teetz, Chief Innovation Officer at EMBRACE, about the latest developments surrounding the EU AI Act and why the topic has suddenly become extremely relevant again, especially for the HR tech industry. The conversation is based on the European Commission’s guidelines for classifying high-risk AI systems, published on May 19. One line from the podcast really stuck with me:
“Human-in-the-loop alone will not be enough.”
Among other things, we discuss the following topics:
⚖️ Why many HR tech solutions could soon be classified as “high risk”
ATS systems, skill matching, interview evaluations, performance analyses, ad targeting, or freelancer rankings—as soon as AI is used for profiling or aptitude assessments, many solutions quickly fall into the high-risk category with extensive compliance obligations.
🧩 Why modular AI systems won’t be spared regulatory scrutiny
Even if AI functions are distributed across different modules, regulators will likely view the system as a whole. This could pose an enormous challenge, especially for small and medium-sized HR tech providers.
🚀 Innovation versus regulation – will Europe find the right balance?
This episode explores the balancing act between fostering innovation and upholding values. Regulation could slow down startups, but at the same time it could also build trust, strengthen governance, and create long-term competitive advantages for European providers.

One quote that really stuck with me:
“Sometimes 80 percent is enough to get started.”
Among other topics, we discussed:
🚀 Speed Beats Perfection
In a hyper-competitive market, HR cannot wait for perfect processes. You’ll hear why building “good enough” structures quickly often creates more business impact than striving for flawless solutions.
🌍 Scaling HR Across the Globe

🚀 Vom „jeder kennt uns“ zum „jeder will hier arbeiten“
🔄 Transformation in riesigen Dimensionen

Sabrina has spent more than two decades in consulting, the Otto Group, and XING before launching her own company to modernize outplacement – or, as she calls it, “New Placement.” One quote that really stuck with me: “Economic necessity and human responsibility are not mutually exclusive.”
Among other topics, we spoke about:
🧭 Speed, Cost, or Resilience?
Before starting any restructuring, leaders need to decide what matters most: moving fast, saving money, or protecting the organization’s long-term resilience and culture.
💬 Why Communication Makes or Breaks Everything
The way layoffs are communicated – especially in individual separation conversations – has a lasting impact on trust, employer branding, and the motivation of those who stay.

German version below
In this episode of the SAATKORN Podcast, I’m talking to Pascal Finette, Founder of Radical and former leader at Google, eBay, and Mozilla Labs. Today, he teaches executives worldwide how to navigate uncertainty and build future-ready organizations. One quote that really stuck with me:
We dive deep into his new book Outlearn and explore how leaders can rethink learning, failure, and organizational speed in a hyper-fast world:
🚀 Learning Faster Than Change
The key competitive advantage today isn’t knowledge—it’s how quickly you can learn, adapt, and iterate faster than your environment evolves.
🧠 Rethinking Failure
Failure isn’t moral—it’s data; the trick is to make it cheap, fast, and focused on extracting insights instead of assigning blame.

🤝 Silos aufbrechen: HR trifft IT

In this episode of the SAATKORN Podcast, I’m talking to Susanne Nietsche, Head of Staff Unit for HR Marketing & Digitalization at Charité – one of Europe’s most renowned university hospitals. Susanne joined during the COVID-19 crisis and has since been driving massive change in an environment often seen as slow-moving and bureaucratic. One quote that really stuck with me: “We don’t build solutions in isolation – everything we do is created together with the people who actually use it.”
🚀 From Excel Chaos to Digital Excellence
Susanne started with almost no structured HR marketing or digital systems – even recruiting was partly managed via Excel. Step by step, she introduced modern tools, a new career website, and a scalable recruiting infrastructure.
🤝 Breaking Silos Between HR & IT
A key success factor: close collaboration between HR and IT. Instead of working in silos, both teams jointly design systems, ensuring real user value, transparency, and connected processes.
⚡ Digitalization vs. Reality: The Hidden Challenges
Digital transparency brought progress—but also new complexity. More stakeholders, more compliance, and more visibility slowed things down at times, showing that transformation isn’t just technical—it’s deeply cultural.
