(10:45) Hit One of the 4 Content Pillars - Education, Marketing, Personal or Connection, Entertaining and Inspiring.
(17:10) If your content piece doesn't hit one of the 4 Pillars, Don't Post It.
(19:20) You need to create content for the right people, Your Ideal Client.
(21:55) Engage with your ideal Clients for at least 30 minutes per day.
(25:15) Consistency is Key.
(26:20) Quality Over Quantity, Every Time!
(27:20) Show Up on Stories every day that your Salon is open.
(28:45) Feature yourself or a staff member in your first Story of the day (have someone's face in the Story) and use an Engagement Sticker.

5 Non-Negotiables That Helped Lauren Build a 7-Figure Business.
Move your body every day. "If you feel like rubbish, go for a walk".
Schedule Breaks! And take them. "I used to purposely NOT drink water, so I didn't have to go to the toilet during work hours".
Don't respond to messages (or texts) outside of business hours. "People just assume that everyone is contactable 24 hours a day these days, and that's not cool".
Set Goals! And reward yourself when you achieve them. "Watch how fast you grow when you set BIG goals and reward yourself with something special when you achieve them".
Pay yourself properly. "Make sure that you're being fairly compensated for all the hours that you put into your business - inside and outside of business hours".

Having your social media content stolen can lead to reduced revenue and make you feel pretty crappy, but should you do anything about it?
You can reach out to them - Politely yet Firmly. (Consider sending audio messages. Your intent will be easier to understand if you send your words in audio, and not just text).
You can Report the post to the platform that the post is on.
You can just move on (although this is emotionally hard to do).
You can double-down on producing Better and Higher Quality content that is more unique and harder to copy.
Your energy is better spent focussing on your Content, and Your Brand.
Accept that it's natural to feel upset about someone stealing your hard work (it sucks!!), but try your best to transform your anger and disappointment into extra fuel for your business journey.

Investing in expensive and time-consuming skills-trainings (for yourself) may end up being a drain on the resources you could be investing in your Team's skills.
Always wanting to be The Best, is purely Ego-driven.
How do you move Clients over to your Team Members? "Make yourself less available, and make your Team more available".
It's OK to be a little afraid of developing your Team to a level where they could leave and become a legitimate competitor, but in the end, a Team Member leaving won't be the end of your business - not by a long shot.
The earlier you Stop investing in high-ticket skills-trainings, the sooner you can redirect that capital into business and marketing trainings, and coaching. Invest in Growth!!
It's very difficult to Stop promoting yourself on your Salon social media accounts (it's a rush to get those Likes, Hearts and Comments on your work), but if you want to reduce Client interest in You and increase Client interest in your brand and your Team, you need to start reducing how much you're the focus of your Salon socials.
Policies and Procedures are key to freeing up even more time and energy for Business Growth.

In this week's episode Lauren discusses what to do when a Team Member resigns.
When it comes to employees resigning: "It's happened before, and it will happen again" .
Even though it may really hurt at the time, try not to take it personally. People move on.
Be as transparent as possible with your Team. Keeping morale high is particularly important when someone resigns.
Be transparent with your Clients.
You need to plan for the transition. Put pen to paper and map out the resignation period to minimise disruption to the business.
Stay Focussed on Team Morale! Unhappy Team Members don't treat their Clients as well as Happy Team Members do. Keep lines of communication open with your Team.
There are so many lessons that you can learn as the Business Owner when a Team Member leaves. Try to stay positive so those lessons are observable and actionable.
Provide clear expectations in regards to workmanship and behaviour to the staff member that is leaving during their notice period. Also, dig into the depth of their position, so any non-obvious job roles (f/e helping create ideas for Social Media posts) can be documented and passed along to another capable staff member, where appropriate.
Conduct an Exit Interview. It might be scary to open yourself up to potential criticism, but you're going to learn a lot about your business, your management style, and yourself.
