There are concerns vulnerable people born overseas and living with a disability in Australia are missing out on support services.

The organisation People with Disability Australia says the national scheme set up to service the disabled community needs to be more accessible and inclusive.

It's hoped a multilingual hub offering non-English speakers who have a disability crucial information about available support, will start to fill the gap. (AUDIO IN TURKISH)

Yurtdışında doğan ve Avustralya’da engelli olarak yaşayan kişilerin bazı hizmetlerden yararlanamadığı belirtiliyor. People with Disability Australia’ya göre, Ulusal Engellilik Sigorta Programı yani NDIS’e erişim daha kolay ve kapsayıcı olmalı. Bunun için de yeni kurulan çok dilli bir platformun hizmete ihtiyacı olanlara gereken bilgiyi ve desteği verebiliceği umudediliyor. Ancak Multilingual Disability Hub, Türkçe veya Kürtçe hizmet vermiyor. Yunanca ve Süryanice veriyor.

Burcu Kayıkçı, the head of AUSTURK Language Academy, one of the leading Turkish language course providers in Australia, called on all to compete in the SBS's fourth National Languages Competition, both as a way to improve their Turkish language competency and realise that the language they are learning is a way to become a part of something bigger.  (AUDIO IN TURKISH)

Avustralya'daki en önemli Türkçe dil kurslarından AUSTÜRK'ün müdürü Burcu Kayıkçı, Türkçe öğrenen herkesi SBS'in Ulusal Diller Yarışmasına katılmaya çağırdı ve yarışmanın dil öğrenme sürecini ödüllendirerek tüm öğrencileri bütünün bir parçası gibi hissettirdiğini söyledi.

The Morrison government on Wednesday reintroduced legislation to enable the drug-testing of 5,000 Newstart and Youth Allowance recipients. Levent Efe talked to SBS Turkish about the move, describing it as an ideological measure to attract the support of its base. 

Morrison hükümeti Çarşamba günü, işsizlik ödeneği alanların uyuşturucu testine tabii tutulmasını mümkün kılan yasa tarasınını parlamentoya yeniden sundu.  Hükümetin bu hamlesi hakkında SBS Türkçe'ye konuşan Levent Efe bunun hedef gösteren ideolojik bir hamle olduğunu savundu.

Most Australians believe climate change is a reality and fear the impact on food supply and crop production as a result.

The findings come in the latest Climate of the Nation report which shows Australians are increasingly worried about climate related events such as extreme weather and water shortages.

Çoğu Avustralyalı iklim değişikliğinin gerçek olduğuna inanıyor ve bunun gıda tedariği ve mahsul üzerindeki etkisinden korkuyor.
