Scottie's Post at one year sober: Decided to post this on a #medalmonday....I've discussed this photo already, but figured I'd do it here. This photo means a lot to me in so many ways. I have looked at this everyday since I took it and cant believe I've been running OCR for barely 9 months, hit that podium in 6 months, and I've podiumed in my last 4 out of 5 races. Everyone of those medals represents another goal I achieved in finishing that race. It also is a symbol of how hard I've work on myself to stay off Alcohol....its been 13 months since I stopped drinking. I believe OCR has helped me with that like no other factor other then myself. I dont drink, cuz I have to train....I dont party late Friday and Saturday anymore as I usually have a race the next day. This has helped me in so many other factors in my life..work, relationships, and just overall mental health. Obstacle course racing has given me goals and things to strive for. I'm very happy I found this sport, and so glad the community has embraced me like it has. OCR has opened so many doors for me and I am forever grateful @mudrunguide @spartan @bonefrog_ @savagerace@thunderdash_5k_mudrun @terrainrace thank you for all you do
