Today we're tackling another group of questions from our anonymous Have A Question page.
We have another Couple's Night on June 8th. It's usually the first Thursday of the month, but we had a conflict this month. You get free access if you are a $5/month supporter. They're not recorded, so you have to show up or miss out. Last month we had a lot of fun with about a dozen couples attending.
And lastly, we just released our guide to edging. One of the wives in our Becoming More Sexually Engaged course asked for ideas to help slow down orgasms because she was having them too quickly and then was too sensitive to continue. I offered to write a how-to on extending the sessions and pushing off orgasm. This request resulted in our new ebook - The Art of Edging: Enhancing Connection and Pleasure in your Marriage Bed. If you're interested in extending your sexual play times, then it might be worth checking out.
And now, on to the questions.
Hi, You must be aware of the recent articles discussing how many people are trapped in sexless (dry) marriages nowadays. Often after the honeymoon period, the woman starts regulating and reducing the frequency of sex. Sometimes after children, this occurs. Often it leads to such low or no frequency. This is withholding of affection that involuntarily turns the other spouse into a celibate roommate. This used to be a long-time legal reason for divorce. No normal heterosexual man gets married to not have sex. Many women, however, do get married with the idea of eventually not having sex with their husbands. Or use sex as prostitution, quid pro quo, to get something from the husband. It's a sad state of affairs, really. For those men trapped in a sexless marriage, they didn't expect or want, who also may want to stay married because of their promise to God, where does masturbation fit in for these men? It's very easy for women to lose interest in sex, the one major thing that makes a husband-wife relationship different from two people simply being roommates. Men have 25-50 times the testosterone of women; there is no comparison between a woman's low level of self-control needed versus a man's.

SWM 101 - Why does my spouse always push for more during sex? Check out the show notes here for more details and links.
Today I'm answer this question I received in my inbox: Jay, I enjoyed the book (Introduction to Talking Dirty) that my hubby put on my iPad. The thing is, no matter what I do in my comfort zone, it isn't enough. I do many, I mean many, of the examples you use, even the F WORD. How do I get him to be grateful for what I do instead of needing more? I always feel inadequate.
Anyways thanks for helping many couples enjoy their intimacy more!

My daughter's speech - The crisis of my generation - transgenderism. Check out the show notes here for more details and links.
This is episode 100, and I wanted to do something a little different for our one-hundredth episode, and I was struggling to figure out what that should be. Then an opportunity presented itself. You see, my children are in 4H, and if you don’t know what 4H is, many people describe it as “scouts for farm kids.”
That’s not quite accurate, as we have some kids from the city in our club as well, but a lot of the projects tend to involve farm animals of some sort, and so farm kids naturally gravitate towards those. But we also do things like archery. In general, you can choose what you want to be involved in. However, there is one project that all 4H members must complete each year - writing and delivering a speech.
You have to deliver your speech in front of your club - about 40 kids and their parents, and often grandparents. If you place 1st or second in your age category, you go on to deliver your speech at the district level and do it again in front of twice as many people. If you win there, you go on again to the next level.
It’s a fun day, and the members, that is, the children, teens and young adults, often spend weeks or months preparing for it, writing, editing, practicing, and sometimes memorizing their speeches. Some are secretive about it, not wanting to give any hints to anyone about what they feel is a winning speech. Others will often recite it to anyone who happens to be within earshot at any given time. Our club is competitive regarding speeches but in a friendly way. There is lots of laughing and joking and encouragement and praise from the other kids when it’s done.
Today I want to share with your my eldest daughter’s speech. Because this is our first year in 4H, this is the first speech she’s ever written at 16 years old, and she delivered it at our local club against many others who had been doing speeches annually for years.
The external judges our club brought to officiate decided to kill her chances of winning because of the topic. They placed her 4th out of 4, and everyone in the club was shocked and confused, including the 2nd and 3rd place winners who stepped down so that my daughter could go on to districts in their place.

Why men being submissive is problematic. Check out the show notes here for more details and links.
A reader posed the following question:
Hi. I wanted to know if there is any reason that the man can't be the submissive part sometimes during sex. Because I feel like I want to be submissive from time to time, but I don't want to ask my wife because it's an awkward topic.
