Host Emily Tisch Sussman had the opportunity to talk with New York's first female governor, Governor Kathy Hochul. She is up for reelection this November and despite Emily’s best attempt to fully pivot she continues to be pulled back into the political scene.  Emily spoke with Governor Hochul about her experience as a woman in politics, especially after she assumed office unexpectedly when the former Governor Cuomo resigned, and how she used that moment to pivot into the highest office in New York. She dives into what she plans to do as governor to advocate and fight on behalf of women.

Betty is not just the oldest park ranger in history, but her pivot at the age of 85 was preceded by a life full of pivots. From one of the first Black-owned record store owners in California to civil rights activist to all of the personal changes and pivots in between. Betty is a decorated park ranger, receiving the presidential medal of honor from President Obama and still receiving shoutouts on his Instagram. After the unimaginable loss, she had to learn how to pick up the pieces and through her healing she found grace and strength which are now central themes in her classes. Now, known for her tough but inspiring workouts on Peloton, Selena’s journey is full of inspiring pivots.
