Before she got into real estate investing, Kara went to culinary school and started saving money to open her own bakery. She’s a true creative and had a dream of owning her own wedding cake shop, but after working in the restaurant industry for many years it became very repetitive. Kara had the realization that “maybe she could do to a house what she used to do to a cake” and started flipping houses. Rich and Kara talk about her experience finally quitting her day job, diving straight in without really knowing what she was doing, and what her typical deals & projects are like today. They discuss trending designs for 2023, new developments she’s getting into, her passion for music and recently released songs. Kara also shares a few of her biggest mistakes and advice for someone new wanting to get into their first flip.
