Technology is changing the way musicians create. The Colony Recording Club started back in 2010, with a couple of friends in Fredericton interested in home recording. But when Scott Kitchen moved away, the project continued. And they even added a third collaborator, Ian Chiasson, in Calgary. Meanwhile, Eben Arnold remains in Fredericton.

The city of Edmundston had to figure out new names for more than three dozen streets because some of them appear not once, but twice - even three times. Nicole Lang with the Edmundston Place Naming Committee said that creates a lot of confusion for tourists, locals and first responders.

The Canadian Red Cross collected about $650,000 in donations for flood relief. The organization now announced plans for some direct financial assistance for households that registered with the Red Cross. Provincial director Bill Lawlor said they will receive $300 in the next few days to help with some basic needs.

The East Coast Comic Expo in Moncton is bound to feature all kinds of comics, collectables and creators, including Moncton's own Nick Bradshaw. He's worked with many of the major publishers, and worked on covers for DC's Superman, Justice League and Marvel's Infinity Countdown event.
