This week on the podcast, the girls are joined by author of Period Power, Maisie Hill. Ever since her period began, Maisie experienced debilitating pain when bleeding. After fifteen years of pain, she tried everything she could to relieve it and find answers. One day, she realised she could address more than just her physical symptoms, and began to explore the ways her emotions and mental health affected her during this time. She was finally able to deal with her period pain, and was inspired to teach others how to do the same.

This week on the podcast, Em and Alex are joined by Dan Richards AKA The One Armed Wonder. Em met Dan back in 2016 during a cycling event for Help For Heroes. Em was so moved by his story that she asked him to come onto the podcast to share it. Dan was in a motorcycle accident which flipped his world upside down. He was kicked out of the armed forces, couldn't get a job and ended up living at his parents with only 15p to his name. Dan shares how, through determination and self belief, he changed his life and became the man he is today.

This week on the podcast, the girls are joined by crisis and hostage negotiator Nicky Perfect. After working in the Met Police for over two decades, it was recommended that Nicky try negotiating. She quickly realised it was her calling, and something she wanted to do for the rest of her career.
Nicky's day-to-day life as a crisis and hostage negotiator was adrenaline fuelled: she was constantly dealing with people at breaking point and immersed in life-or-death situations, such as terrorist incidents and kidnappings.
On this episode, Nicky shares her proudest moments, toughest negotiations, and biggest mistakes. She also explains why empathy is the most important factor in defusing highly volatile situations.

As we welcome in the new year, many of you will be dabbling with sobriety through Dry January. It can feel like the perfect antidote to a heavy month of boozing and indulging over the festive period, but how many of us actually consider why we drink? Sober Awkward is a podcast run by sober pals Victoria Vanstone and Hamish Adams-Cairns, and they join Alex and Em to discuss what it really feels like to be sober and why they were both compelled to do it. They share the best things and worst things about being sober, and how to tell people to just f**k off when you need to...
