Tame Iti is one of the most iconic figures in te ao Māori.
An artist, activist, and advocate for Māori rights, Iti has been at the forefront of many protest movements.
He’s had a big 2022 with his ‘I will not speak Māori’ installation in Wellington, being front and centre at parliament marking 50 years since rangatahi and kaumatua presented a petition to have te reo taught in schools, and he starred as himself in the new star-studded kiwi movie Muru.
