Victoria Shaw received her PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Princeton University, and completed her postdoctoral training in the department of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Columbia University Teachers College. She earned her MA in Counseling from Fairfield University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a State Certified School Counselor.

Additionally, she has advanced training in several counseling modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Distance Counseling and Energy Psychology.

Her approach to counseling and therapy is holistic, and she draws from a variety of theoretical frameworks, tools and techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual client. She works with children, teens and parents on a variety of life issues including those academic, social and emotional. She also works with adults on the challenges of life transitions, stress management, trauma, parent concerns and spirituality.
