This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with her 14-year-old daughter Georgia for an unfiltered mother–daughter conversation about stress, surrender, and what biblical peace actually looks like when life is messy, loud, and very human. Georgia opens the episode by wrestling with the difference between happiness and joy, and why she believes real peace is something only God can give in His presence—not something you manufacture by trying harder.
From there, Georgia interviews her mom about miscarriage, infertility, adoption, and the long “waiting periods” that stretched Kerstin’s faith while she was anchoring the news at ABC, moving to QVC, and walking through her mother’s 12-year battle with dementia. Kerstin shares how a neurologist’s words about stress-related damage in her mom’s brain pushed her back to school for nutrition, into health coaching, and ultimately into creating StRest—where health science meets biblical truth.
They also go deep on stress and the body: the four pillars of wellness (sleep, food, movement, relationships/spirituality), good stress vs bad stress, how perimenopause and menopause change a woman’s ability to metabolize stress, and why processed “fake food” is breaking our brains and bodies.
Georgia talks about teen stress, school pressure, and how rooting her identity in what Scripture says rather than peers’ opinions freed her from social anxiety. Together they unpack Sabbath as a real stress tool, what they learned on a three-and-a-half-month mission trip to Mexico about living slower, and why it’s better to bring your anger to God than to turn away from Him when life feels unfair.
If you’ve ever felt like a high-performing Christian who is still exhausted, controlling, and anxious in the dark, this first episode offers an honest look at what it means to collapse on Jesus, practice surrender, and slowly move from stress to rest.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with actress, producer, and podcast host Candace Cameron Bure to talk about stress, success, and what it really looks like to protect your mental health in a life that looks “perfect” from the outside. Candace shares why she walked away from The View at the height of her career, how she chose her quality of life and family over a packed resume, and what it took to rebuild peace when burnout, overwork, and constant travel left her spirit “dying inside.”
From there, they get honest about 30 years of marriage that were not “picture perfect,” parenting teenagers in today’s culture, and navigating social media as a Christian public figure without letting criticism own you.
Candace opens up about long-term depression, disordered eating, and why walking, strength training, sleep, and magnesium became lifelines. She talks about prepping for menopause like a warrior—lifting heavier, dialing in macros and portions, limiting caffeine, and treating her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Kerstin closes by inviting you to take inventory of your stress, cut one thing from your plate, and start a simple rhythm of walking, journaling, and asking God, “What do You want me to know? What do You want me to do?” so you can walk into your next season strong in body, mind, and faith.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with former Metro DC cop and covert operator Jamie Winship to talk about fear, identity, and hearing God in the middle of real danger—and in everyday stress. Jamie explains why fear is not the enemy but a signal pointing to deeper lies we believe about God, ourselves, and others, and how living in low-grade fear keeps us clinging to control and unable to truly hear the Lord.
He shares the story of saying yes to getting into a car with dangerous men in the Middle East, how perfect love—not force—disarmed a terrorist leader, and why the same spiritual dynamics sit under school shootings, addiction, overwork, caregiving, and health crises. From there, Jamie unpacks identity: why the real question is “Who am I in God’s eyes?” not “What is my purpose?”, how the lie “I’m a disappointment” fueled his own addiction, and what changed when he received his true name as a “militant peacemaker.” Kerstin closes by processing her own identity beyond “that girl at QVC” and inviting you to fix your eyes on Jesus, ask Him, “What am I? How do You see me?”, and build a daily practice of journaling and listening so you recognize His voice when the storm hits.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with her long-time QVC friend Jill Martin to ask the questions most women only whisper: What happens when cancer, divorce, and career upheaval all hit at once—and you survive? Jill shares how a “random spit test” and BRCA gene result led to preventive surgery, a shocking cancer diagnosis, and doctors telling her plainly that without it, she would already be dead. She talks candidly about not fearing death, the “before and after” line cancer draws through your life, and why she refuses to pretend things ever go back to normal.
From there, they unpack the part most people never see: why the acute crisis of treatment was easier than the quiet devastation afterward, how stress and overwork likely accelerated her cancer, and what it was like to walk through chemo, hair loss, a crumbling marriage, and public life at the same time. Jill explains why she’s “done feeling like the victim,” how she set new boundaries around work, relationships, and her nervous system, and why she now chooses fewer things done with excellence over “a hundred things at 100.” She and Kerstin dig into good stress vs toxic stress, the science and soul of how stress impacts disease, and why rest, perspective, and self-compassion have become non-negotiables.
Kerstin also shares her own story—hearing God say it was time to leave a secure, high-profile job at QVC while she was still the primary breadwinner, navigating her husband’s health crisis, and stepping into a new calling to help women move from stress to rest through faith and wellness. Together, they talk about the Sherpa lounger as more than a product—why comfort, safety, and feeling “held” matter during grief and treatment—and end with something deeply practical: how to lower stress today by taking one small step, like finally clearing that one drawer that’s been nagging you for years.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with Dr. Ben Edwards to ask one big question: what if the main thing keeping you sick isn’t your diagnosis, but your beliefs, rhythms, and identity? Dr. Edwards shares his own story of infertility and the moment “Seek first the kingdom” finally landed—shifting an idol of family into a doorway for a completely different way of practicing medicine.
From there, they pull back the curtain on the modern medical system: 7-minute visits, protocol-driven care, and a culture of fear around income, reputation, and licenses—even as the U.S. ranks dead last among industrialized nations in infant mortality, maternal mortality, and lifespan. They dive into chronic illness (Lyme, autoimmunity, diabetes), why the “bug” is rarely the root problem, how sleep apnea, seed oils, stress, and a redlined nervous system make us easy targets, and why supplements like melatonin are warning lights, not the fix. Using diabetes as a case study, Dr. Edwards explains mitochondria as a broken engine, and how muscle, morning sun, real fats, minerals, and peace with God work together to restore true metabolic health.
Kerstin and Dr. Edwards finish with “the basics”: four pillars—nutrition, hydration, movement, and peace—and his nine-module Veritas Wellness course to help people step out of standard American living into something more ancestral and biblically aligned. He speaks directly to the woman stuck on the couch with her snacks, meds, and shame, and offers a first step that isn’t another hack: an honest conversation with God, confession of unbelief, and inviting the Holy Spirit to rewrite her identity. Kerstin closes with a one-year update on StRest, why the show is taking a December break, and how listeners can use Advent to step out of constant content and into real rest with Jesus.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with Annie Moss, founder of The Vintage Sparrow, to talk about what it looks like to live out real faith in a secular marketplace. Annie shares how she went from years of youth and women’s ministry into entrepreneurship and retail, and why she sees her work as “marketplace ministry” — inviting women toward Jesus through wearable reminders of hope, peace, and surrender.
They dig into a common objection to faith-based business by unpacking the context behind Jesus overturning tables in the temple, and why Annie believes her products are an invitation, not a blockade. Annie explains how her designs are born from lived seasons of pain — including seven years of infertility, a near-100-day ICU fight for her husband’s life, and the daily stretch of motherhood — and how those trials shaped her theology instead of breaking it.
Kerstin and Annie talk about the difference between God’s correction and the enemy’s condemnation, how to recognize each voice, and why speaking truth out loud matters. They also go hard on the theme of surrender: why stillness with God is not optional fuel, how boundaries prevent burnout, why “balance” isn’t real in most seasons, and how one moment of God’s favor can do what years of striving can’t. The episode closes with a practical invitation for December: create space for Jesus in every moment, not just the crisis ones, and a prayer over listeners heading into Advent and rest.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with cellular healing and fasting expert Dr. Dan Pompa to break down what fasting really does in your body—when it heals, when it harms, and how to do it without wrecking your hormones or metabolism.
Dr. Pompa explains autophagy, mitophagy, stem cells, and why humans are built for feast-famine cycles, not constant snacking. They dig into hormesis (good stress), how overdoing fasting or cold plunges backfires, and why the feast is as critical as the fast—especially for women in perimenopause and menopause.
They cover diabetes, cancer, chemo, and where fasting can be powerful versus risky, plus how diet variation and changing your “same eight foods” can restore metabolic flexibility and microbiome health.
Kerstin and Dr. Pompa close with his pain-to-purpose story of severe illness, neurotoxic exposure, and how God met him there. He shares why he sees his cellular detox framework as God-given, how fasting creates space for surrender, and why he avoids comments so he can stay bold and focused on what he’s called to say.

This is StRest. In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with longtime friend and QVC guest Melissa Epps to expose the real weight of the sandwich generation: raising teens and a profoundly disabled adult daughter while also managing the declining health of her mother.
Melissa’s story spans high-risk pregnancies, an ultra-rare genetic disorder, micro-preemie twins born at 27 weeks, a second surprise set of twins, her mom’s breast cancer diagnosis, and her father’s sudden death during surgery. Somewhere in the chaos, she became her mother’s full-time case manager instead of just her daughter.
Kerstin and Melissa break down the emotional toll: being the “safe” outlet for overwhelmed teens and an aging parent, the middle-of-the-night welfare checks, the resentment that builds when you handle meds, money, and crises alone, and the guilt and relief of transitioning a parent into assisted living.
Woven through it all is the midlife hormonal crash—insomnia, anxiety, mood swings—that pushes many women to the brink. Melissa explains how HRT, movement, and reconnecting with friends pulled her out of survival mode, and why isolation in this stage is dangerous.
They close with the identity crisis most caregivers face: when the kids leave and the parent is gone or in care, who are you if your entire adult life has been spent taking care of everyone else? This conversation lays out what it takes to rebuild a self that isn’t defined only by responsibility.

This is StRest. In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist sits down with leading biological dentist Dr. Scott Chandler of Dentistry4Health in Park City, Utah, to confront a hard but critical question: could the work in your mouth be the missing link behind your chronic health issues?
Dr. Chandler explains why mercury fillings, root canals, jawbone cavitations, metal crowns, titanium implants, and airway problems are not just “dental” concerns, but potential drivers of brain fog, fatigue, recurring Lyme symptoms, cardiovascular changes, thyroid disruption, breast health concerns, and more. He walks through what actually happens with mercury amalgam, why most root canals harbor aggressive bacteria, how unhealed extraction sites can act like septic tanks in your jaw, and why metal in the mouth may interfere with energetic pathways that support key organs.
Kerstin presses into the practical side: how to know if your fillings are mercury-based, what safe removal should look like (and why doing it wrong can make you worse), why so many wisdom tooth extractions are setting patients up for long-term problems, and how cone beam imaging exposes infections and airway issues that standard exams miss. For families, they cover safer materials for fillings and crowns, what to ask before your teen’s wisdom tooth surgery, and options for airway and sleep apnea care that do not start and end with a CPAP.
If you have done “all the things”—detoxes, protocols, supplements, specialists—and still feel unwell, this episode gives you a direct, unvarnished framework: investigate your mouth, demand proper imaging, vet your dentist, and understand why ignoring oral infections and metals can quietly sabotage your healing.

This is StRest! In this episode, Kerstin Lindquist welcomes world-renowned fertility specialist and Harvard University–awarded scholar Gabriela Rosa, founder and CEO of The Rosa Institute and pioneer of the world’s first fully virtual holistic fertility clinic.
Together, they confront one of the most damaging phrases in reproductive medicine: “unexplained infertility.” Gabriela explains why it is usually not a mystery, but a failure to investigate. She exposes the hard numbers behind IVF (including why 71% of cycles fail), how misaligned incentives between doctors, clinics, and shareholders quietly shape treatment paths, and why patients are so often told “everything is normal” when it clearly is not.
Kerstin revisits her own infertility story and the “unexplained” label she now rejects. Gabriela walks through what a real workup should look like, why fertility must be treated as a team sport (male and female factors), and how chronic stress, environment, epigenetics, infections, sperm quality, egg maturation, and immune function all interact. This is a blueprint for anyone tired of vague answers: how to demand proper testing, stop wasting cycles, and choose IVF only when it is truly the fastest, smartest path—not just the default.
If you have been told to “just relax,” “keep trying,” or accept unexplained infertility, this episode will show you exactly why that is not good enough and what to do next.
