In this episode of The Uncaged Clinician, David Bayliff shares the five essential things needed to start a successful business, including understanding your gift, having belief, passion, active patience and persistence, and pure grit. He highlighted how they are important and ties this episode's 4-D's to getting your first client.

David shifts focus to discuss the steps needed to get the first client, which includes addressing logistics, legalities, foundations, money management, and marketing.

They will touch on such topics as:

• Recap on the last episode's five essential things that you needed to start your business.

• The four Ds to getting your first client: Dive, Discover, Delight, and Delegate.

• The first one is diving into the community first, and why you need to share your mission with everyone that you come in contact with: "Diving into things is believing in yourself, sharing your mission, knowing your avatar, what do you need to know about them."

• Second, is to discover all you can about your ideal client, discover what you're selling and what they're wanting.

• Third, make the process fun for yourself and your clients take delight in it: "Tell stories of other people's success, and share what's possible, and allow that person to see the potential of becoming the hero of the story too."

• Lastly, delegate the opportunity to them to go on that journey: "You give them very clear action steps of what they need to do to achieve what they're wanting to achieve."
