In her book, Chasing Slow, Erin Loechner describes how sometimes, in our search for more, we add things to our lives. We buy more things, add more tasks, take on more. However, often, what we need is actually less. In this episode, she shares with us her insights on living with the lion inside of us, the one who always is whispering to us that we must do more, have more, BE more. What do we do with this voice when we are different phases of life? Some phases require more stillness, and others have space for more goal reaching, and there is beauty in all of these phases.

This embracing of each phase of life that Erin embodies led her to search for and then create, along with child development professionals and educators, a beautiful homeschool curriculum called Other Goose. It is built on these three pillars of education: connection through nature, community through stories, creativity through play. It offers flexibility to parents of younger children and is a wonderful resource for any of you out there who are considering homeschooling this year.
