Many people feel like they have to use it because it helps them generate leads, connect with their audience, and grow their email list. Some have very clear goals with social media, and others are doing it simply because they believe that they need to. 

I am here to tell you that you do not need social media to grow your business. In fact, I am a perfect example of why you don’t need it. I have never leveraged social media in my own business. I know multiple 7- and 8-figure business owners that don’t bother with it either. 

That’s not to say there aren’t really great reasons to use social media if it’s right for your business. It can be great for things like building relationships, creating a feedback loop, and selling. However, your business can still flourish if you choose not to use social media.

However, just because you struggle with these types of health challenges doesn’t mean you can’t still scale your business to the level of success you want while working fewer hours. In this episode, I am joined by one of my Accelerator program members, Susi Hately, to talk about how it’s possible. 

Susi believes that healing is possible. After graduating with a B.S in Kinesiology & Exercise Physiology, she got hired at a pain clinic to help others get out of pain, but it was her own journey of overcoming pain that opened her eyes to the powers of healing.  She launched therapeutic trainings, her own certification programs, and a slew of new and unique offers. 

The key is to become aware of what your body is telling you. You can use the awareness of your symptoms to set up and scale your business based on when you are feeling your best.

What I’m sharing with you today is a huge leverage point, and it's something that is likely right in front of you: your email list.

This topic is thrown around a lot. Everyone is talking about lead generation, and while some people may say that email marketing is dead, that is absolutely not true. You own your email list and that is a massive asset to your business.

It is so important to schedule this “CEO time” with intention. You block time out on your calendar to do nothing but think about your business or do the highest leverage activities that you can do as the CEO. 

We often think that we can’t take time like this, but this is when we make the most progress and develop the best plans. Carve out the time in your calendar, protect that time, and give it a try. It may just change the trajectory of your business.

In today’s quick tip episode of Art of Online Business, I’m talking about how to handle those hard decisions and situations in the nicest way possible. If someone has been with you for a long time and they just haven’t been performing well, it can be really difficult to bring yourself to do what needs to be done. 

There are three words that every CEO really needs to know when it comes to someone on your team. Those three words are “the business needs”. It’s never “I need”, even though it’s our business. You are not your business, so this is an important distinction because it’s not personal. It's a business decision. 

This is always a difficult situation because we are good people and don’t want to do that sort of thing to anyone. We want to treat those people with respect and courtesy, especially in times like this. 

So regardless of how frustrated you might be or whatever else is going on, just remember it is what your business needs.
