This is part II of our Big Dietetic Debate on the topic of diversity in dietetics. In this episode, Harriet is joined by Registered Dietitian Tai Ibitoye. Tai Ibitoye is a Registered Dietitian and a Doctoral Researcher in Food & Nutritional Sciences. She is currently doing research focusing on appetite and dietary intake in older adults. She also has a keen interest in women’s health and the nutritional status of minority ethnic groups, specifically Black African and Caribbean individuals. In Part I, we discussed why the lack of diversity in dietetics is an issue and the extent of the problem. In part II, we will explore ways to address the lack of diversity in dietetics on an individual and professional level.
