This week’s episode is a little more personal. I’m recording from bed in the middle of a big five-day event, deep in Cannes prep, brand deals, visibility expansion, and all the emotions that come with stepping into a bigger version of myself.
In this episode, I talk about a moment that cracked something open for me: asking for an opportunity I wanted and getting the response, “I thought you’d never ask.” That moment became such a mirror for how often we delay, hesitate, or hold ourselves back not because the opportunity isn’t available, but because we’re still waiting for permission.
I also share the deeper lesson I’ve been moving through lately around power, self-concept, and what it really means to stop waiting to be chosen. I talk about the difference between a deadline and a timer, why so many creatives live under the weight of old timelines that only create shame, and how a real deadline can become a loving boundary that creates momentum, clarity, and movement.
We also get into the “river of misery” that tends to show up the second you decide to expand, the identity work required to keep betting on yourself before there’s evidence, and why becoming the person who can hold your desires matters just as much as having the desires in the first place.
If you’ve been getting 95% of the way there and then stopping short, this episode is for you.
