She shares with us about her experience in the Miss America organization and the work she is doing through her Miss America Community Service Initiative “Be V.I.S.I.B.L.E”, which focuses on representation and inclusion for all. About Maria Cade
Maria Cade is a native of New Castle, Pennsylvania and currently serves as Miss Butler County 2023. She works as a TV News Journalist for Central Pennsylvania's CBS Affiliate Station, WTAJ-TV News, Maria joined WTAJ in February 2022 as a multimedia journalist in the State College bureau.
Maria is a 2021 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied Media and Journalism as well as vocal performance. After graduating from UNC, Maria moved to New York City to work with ABC News as an intern for the third hour of Good Morning America. She brought community news to the national level, sharing stories highlighting people making a difference every day.
Through her Miss America Community Service Initiative, Be V.I.S.I.B.L.E., she advocates for representation and inclusion for all. By advocating for the amplification of underrepresented voices, Maria hopes to inspire the next generation to be empowered to succeed in any way they choose, no matter who they are or where they come from. Maria is teaching the leaders of tomorrow to embrace their unique qualities through this initiative.
