“We have to realize that the prejudices we have in our neighborhood, they are learning the same thing in their neighborhoods. Somebody has to take the initiative to change.”
– Ron “Big Black” Garrett

From a mentor at church, and through the prayers of his wife, Ron found keto and became an advocate, helping to spread the benefits of Keto among his family, coworkers, and friends.
Listen in today as Jimmy and Ron talk about the recent developments that we’ve all been seeing in the news and how we as a global community should work to support our brothers and sisters of color. Ron will challenge you to change the way you think.
Have you participated in any of the protests going on this past week? In this special JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show Episode 1648, Jimmy talks about some of the hurdles to wider acceptance of the Back Lives Matter movement.
“People are afraid to say anything because they are afraid that questioning will be met with screaming and name calling.”
– Jimmy Moore
The news has been dominated over the last few days with coverage of the latest protests triggered by the brutal police abuse causing the horrific murder of George Floyd. We have seen protests all over the country erupt from this senseless act of violence.
During this time we have seen members of the white community left not knowing how to respond and react. There seems to be a communication breakdown, and here are some of the ways Jimmy has noticed that we could communicate together in a more constructive way.
The time is now for the white community to have these conversations in an open forum to help the black community overcome oppression.
1. They’re afraid of the mob mentality and being labeled a racist for saying the wrong things
2. They don’t feel like they’ve done anything personally wrong to people of color and should not be held accountable for their ancestors’ actions
3. They honestly don’t think about people who are another color in their day-to-day lives
4. They don’t understand what the phrase “black lives matter” actually means and why “all lives matter” is insulting
5. They think that since slavery ended after the Civil War 150 years ago and the civil rights movement happened 60 years ago, we’re all good now
6. They say we helped to elect the first black president in US history in 2007 when Barack Obama won the presidency and that marked the end of racial strife proving they’re not racist
7. They are concerned with the left-leaning progressive political undertone to the social injustice movement that some may disagree with philosophically
8. They believe that this is only coming up now as a way to prevent Donald Trump from being reelected president in November
9. They don’t feel like they have the right to share their honest opinions in this discussion and will be called ignorant, tone deaf, and a white supremacist with white privilege if they share those views
10. They think anyone who brings up race relations is an SJW (social justice warrior) just looking to cause trouble and not looking for solutions
11. They honestly have no idea what it feels like to grow up in a world with black skin and all that comes with it
12. They think police officers are being unfairly characterized as the enemy of the black community in this discussion
13. They think racism cuts both ways and that black people can also be racist towards white people
14. They don’t understand the decades of frustration that has led to the protesting, looting, and destruction happening across the US
15. They don’t know what they don’t know about the reality of white privilege
“We can say pretty clearly that public policy broke metabolic health.”
– Ali Miller, RD, LD, CDE
Ali Miller, RD, LD, CDE is a Registered Dietitian with a naturopathic background and a contagious passion for using nutrients and food as the foundation of treatment protocols and programs. She is the author of international best seller The Anti-Anxiety Diet, as well as The Anti-Anxiety Diet Cookbook, and Naturally Nourished: Food-As-Medicine for Optimal Health.
Listen in today as Jimmy and Ali talk about dealing with the Covid-19 crisis we find ourselves in. What about the information we’re being given from the purveyors of conventional wisdom in the health and nutrition space? Should we just blindly accept the advice given by them, or should we use the tools we’ve been given to find out exactly what’s going on and how best to take care of ourselves and the ones we love? Find out in this dynamic episode today!
“For a lot of people they see simply a headline and they go no further. They’re not actually looking at a study, they’re looking at the reporting of a study.”
– Jimmy Moore
Health headlines can be enough to make you lose your marbles sometimes. If you only read headlines, you would be all over the place nutritionally. These headlines are there to catch your attention, even if the underlying science isn’t necessarily telling you what the headline conveys. In this special edition of JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show, Jimmy tears apart one such instance and shows why you can’t necessarily trust what you read in the news.

Why are What If questions deemed so dangerous, especially right now? Let’s find out together in this special JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show Episode 1644.
“Whatever you believe, make the argument for the opposite side. Know the counterargument to make sure you are on the right side of the issue.”
- Jimmy Moore
One thing the keto food/real food community has always prided themselves on is the ability to look behind the veil of whatever the modern mantra of health and nutrition is to get to the true facts of the matter. So naturally, when Covid-19 came along we started turning our critical thinking eye towards the news reports we are seeing each day. It’s easy to see where the actual science is, and where people are so easily led astray.
Listen in today as Jimmy breaks down why exactly having a critical eye and critical thinking are so important, especially right now.
Dr. John Limansky is our special interview guest on Episode 1643 of The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.

Dr. Limansky incorporates biohacking techniques within a ketogenic lifestyle to improve health at a cellular level. He is the former cohost of The KetoHacking MD podcast with veteran podcaster, Jimmy Moore.

What is going on with the meat industry during this time of Covid-19? We get to the bottom of it in this special JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show Episode 1642.
“If the unintended consequence of Covid-19 is that more people visit their local farmers for their meat, then that is wonderful.”
– Jimmy Moore
One of the strangest victims of the Covid-19 pandemic has been the meat industry and the systems by which meat is processed and delivered to grocery stores. We have said for years that people need to be in touch with where their meat is raised and know exactly what it takes for you to have that delicious steak on your plate.
What this global pandemic has done is to show us exactly where the system has been broken for quite a while, as well as to expose the agendas of the anti-meat crowd. Those same people see this as a prime opportunity to enact what they believe is what you should be eating, namely vegan. Listen in today as Jimmy exposes what is going on behind the scenes and shows you what to watch for during these trying times.
Healthtech executive Jim Howard is our special interview guest on Episode 1641 of The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.
