Amanda Decker, a 1999 graduate of Dickson County High School, completed her undergraduate degree in philosophy at Middle Tennessee State University, graduating cum laude Class of 2003. She entered the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing to begin the nursing “bridge” program that would allow her to take accelerated nursing courses to advance into the Master of Science in Nursing after completing the first year of study. Mrs. Decker completed her academic studies at Vanderbilt School of Nursing achieving a Master of Science in Nursing and acquired her Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2005. She is also listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and qualified to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals.

The vaccine for COVID-19 will potentially be here in a matter of months and researchers at Yale University are trying to determine what messaging it will take to convince you to take it. They are currently conducting a study of 4000 American adults both healthy and unhealthy to determine which argument in favor of a vaccination would be the most effective.

With all the constant negative media coverage of COVID-19 over the past six months, people have become absolutely scared to death of getting this virus. With the daily running tally of infections and deaths relentlessly blasted at us, people have become so paralyzed by fear that it is affecting the rational sensibility when it comes to getting regular routine medical care. Hospitals have taken notice.

While the perception is that everyone in hospitals right now has the coronavirus, it’s honestly not true. But because that perception is so deeply ingrained in many right now, people simply aren’t going to the hospital to get checked out when they have symptoms. One survey found that one in 4 Americans with symptoms of a heart attack or stroke would rather take their chances at home than to go to a hospital and risk getting COVID-19. This is atrocious!⁣

Rebekah Farmer (@tailoredketohealth) was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 6th grade. In seventh grade, she ran into chronic pain. She was rushed to the emergency room with severe chest pains, and left with a diagnosis of costochondritis and degenerative disc. She was then diagnosed with OCD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, Narcolepsy, and a myriad of digestive issues such as gastroparesis, IBS, IBD, slow transit colon, Celiac and diverticulitis. Rebekah started regular Chiropractic treatments to address scoliosis and chronic pain. She went through multiple rounds of physical therapy, but symptoms continued to worsen. Shortly after graduating high school, she ran into chronic adrenal fatigue, crippling anxiety and pain so bad that she was bed bound. She had difficulty breathing, with frequent episodes of near- suffocation.

Desperate and afraid, she knew that she needed to dig deeper. She ventured to uncover the root of her issues, working with multiple functional medicine doctors, and embarked on a more strict/ personalized version of the ketogenic diet. With Keto, various supplements, and support she was able to get off of Adderal, Clonazepam, and Ambien after being dependent on them for 13 years. Stubbs, etal. I’m gonna warn you ahead of time that this is a very science jargon-laden paper (NERD ALERT ) looking at very meticulous pathways by which the ketone body beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) works mechanistically to fight off viral infections. But if you can stick this one out, then it’s pretty fascinating stuff!⁣

We also share about T cells and low-carb diets being the key in your body having a good chance of effectively fighting off COVID-19. The T cells, which are part of your immune system, can actually destroy the virus even without antibody production. How many people have fought off COVID-19 with their T cells and yet have no evidence that they’ve been exposed to the virus? How many more people have been exposed to COVID-19 than are in the statistics? Why aren’t we hearing about this in the national media?⁣
