Jimmy has decided to temporarily step away from the low-carb/keto community he helped to create - and in which he has been active in for 15 years - to relieve the stress that is directly impacting his weight and health. One of the ways he will be assessing his progress is testing against a set of deeper health markers recommended by a functional medicine family doctor named Dr. Gus Vickery in Asheville, North Carolina. Listen in for his analysis of Jimmy’s health markers in July 2019 shortly prior to the debut of this this episode. Tune in to the next episode, 1453, for the continuation of this discussion.

Paid advertisementKim Howerton struggled with food and her weight since she was 8 years old. Raised in the low fat diet culture of the 1980’s and 90’s, a time when we were constantly told, “Eat less and exercise more!” was the solution to all our woes. (Yeah, ok we are still told that). Her guilt and shame about her inability to follow this “simple” advice was ever present.
A member of Weight Watchers from the time she was 13, she dieted. She worked out. She was miserable, hungry and tired. And, she was overweight. College brought some short term success, but she gained the weight back plus some, which ushered her into the over 200 lbs club… where she remained a member for the next 2 decades. And then she found Keto. Go here to read her story: https://www.theketonist.com/about
“I can live the rest of my life not looking great in a bikini, but when I hit 40 I realized I didn’t want to die.”
- Kim HowertonT.C. Hale (aka Tony Hale) began his career in stand-up comedy. Touring professionally as a comic for nearly a decade, he never envisioned that he would one day teach the world how to sleep, poop, and even lose weight.
On Valentine’s Day, 2004, Tony lost his voice and it didn’t come back. After twenty-three doctors couldn’t figure out the problem, Tony decided it was time to dig for his own answers. Eight years later, not only did Tony figure out his own issues, he also happened upon hidden information about how to improve countless other health problems. T.C. is the author of Kick Your Fat in the Nuts, Constipation: Kick it Naturally, Health Pro Results, and other books. You can also hear T.C. on his podcast, Kick It Naturally.
