Tracy Eileen Ocasio was born on August 10, 1981 to parents Liz and Joe and was described as being, “daddy’s little girl.” Her parents said that Tracy was able to make friends anywhere because she was “open and tended to trust people quickly.” Despite this, Tracy remained close to her family, especially her mom, even as an adult.

Her disappearance would be the catalyst to putting a horrible man behind bars and to getting justice for everyone but herself.

This is her story.

Tracy Ocasio was last seen on May 27, 2009 in Ocoee Florida. The last person to see her alive was James “Jimmy” Hataway. At the time of her disappearance, Tracy was 27 years old, 5’5”, and 120 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Laci was born on the 4th of May 1975 to Sharon and Dennis Rocha. Later, her mother married Laci’s stepfather, Ron Grantski. Her biological father owned a dairy farm and Laci spent a lot of time there growing up. Perhaps it was here that she developed a green thumb and Laci would go on to graduate from California Polytechnic with a degree in ornamental horticulture.

In the quiet gated community of Great Waters in Eatonton, Georgia, 85 miles east of Atlanta, lived Russell and Shirley Dermond. As per their website, Great Waters is part of Reynolds Lake Oconee; a luxury golf and lakefront community boasting 12,000 acres of lakefront property, six golf courses, 11 restaurants, as well as recreational and culinary amenities befitting a world-class private club. This was the perfect retirement location for the Dermonds as Russell was an avid golfer and Shirley was a keen gardener. With a crime rate of zero, they felt safe and could enjoy their days in their hard earned dream home. The safety they, and the community felt, was shattered when, in 2014, Russell was found dead in his home and Shirley was nowhere to be found.

22-year-old Jennifer Servo had just moved to Abilene, Texas from northwest Montana, after finally landing a job that she’d dreamed of since she was a little girl. Less than three months after her big move, on September 18th, 2002, Jennifer was found dead in her apartment, with very little evidence as to who took the life of the smart, headstrong, and creative young journalist. Though one suspect has lived in the minds of Jennifer’s family, friends, and detectives since the day her body was found, it’s been over 20 years and Jennifer’s murder is still unsolved.

Amber Lynn Wilde was born on March 26th, 1979 in Campbellsport, Wisconsin to parents Steve and Julie. Amber was an ambitious student as well. Bright, inquisitive, and hardworking, she excelled in the classroom. She had big dreams for her life, and diligently worked towards making them her reality. From an early age, Amber kept journals chronicling her life’s big events, daily activities, accomplishments, frustrations, and her most private secrets. This outlet of Amber’s has proven to be a huge asset to the detectives who would later take on her case.
