Steven Tennant (AKA my younger brother) is here to get real vulnerable!
He’s also a wellness junkie, although he wasn’t always. Steven suffered from a hefty dose of self-loathing for most of his life, and he struggled to acknowledge that fact. Like a lot of us, it wasn’t until he hit a breaking point that he could come to terms with how much he hated himself, and how much that affected him and the people around him every day.
But Steven made a huge shift about two years ago, and today he shares how he was able to face the problem, throw his entire life out the window, and start loving himself.
We discuss his own wellness journey, self-sabotage, his life as an ocean lifeguard, our relationship, and how he figured out how to actually start loving himself.
I love him so much, and I know you will, too.

Western medicine failed me.
It has also failed so many people I know. The more that I learn about the problems with conventional medicine, the more grateful I am for my incredible functional medicine doctor, Dr. Lekkos.
In this episode with the man who saved my life, we discuss how functional medicine is different; my healing journey through Epstein-Barr virus, chronic fatigue, and SIBO; and the many ways in which you can advocate for your own health and get to the root of your health issues.
He saved my life, and I know his tips can benefit you as well.

While I was on leave from work before officially quitting my job this spring, I was reading books, trying to stay connected and be inspired. I read Disrupters by Dr. Patti Fletcher, and I couldn’t put it down. Patti’s ability to explain what women must do to rise to the top is emotional, eye-opening, and humbling. She tells the stories of women we can all see ourselves in, and those we want to emulate.
I was so honored to sit down with such a game changer and talk about how we can all be better for ourselves and use our voices and power for good.

Back in the day, tribes and villages of women raised children together; nothing was done alone. But as time has gone on, we’ve lost this beautiful practice. We’re in a society where we’re expected to have children and families and careers, and to do so independently, perfectly, and Instagram-worthy at all times.
When I found WMN Space, it felt like I was in this time warp: a place where women gather in circle to share, support, hold space, and love. You set intentions, ground in with other women, and help navigate this big life as one.
The creator of this beautiful practice here in LA is Paula Mallis. In our conversation, you’ll hear me talk about her giving off this vibe that she’s done this all before.

I love perfume so much! But when I learned how toxic and detrimental most perfumes and candles are for our health... well, I threw everything away immediately! I discovered PHLUR, a fragrance company co-created by Eric and Cynthia Korman to consciously curate beautiful and effective products that won’t harm you (crazy, right?).
