  • 212: The 6 strengths, and the 6 weaknesses, of the Highly Sensitive Person in leadership

It's probably pretty obvious that I'm super biased, but I think highly sensitive people are incredible, generally, and also, perhaps contrary to general belief, also make incredible leaders. HSPs are empathetic, intuitive, have an incredible ability to process information and make good decisions, and are authentic and kind. Today, as I gear up to launch the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy, I detail what I think are the six superpowers of the HSP leaders. And, just to keep it real — there are plenty of things we struggle with in leadership too, so I also detail six leadership weaknesses that we can work on and address. Tune on in to see how you embrace and step into your leadership potential.

  • 211: Listen to me discuss how I create a course, behind-the-scenes

Hey there, Soothers! Join me today as I outline what it looks like to be a person who creates courses on the internet. Where do I get my ideas? How does it begin to take shape? How do I decide what to include, or in what format? How do I begin to price and promote the offering and eventually how do I enroll and then teach it? I'm spilling all the beans on my particular process, and I'm sharing real-time as I am right now in the process of creating the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy, or HLA, which will open in September. If you're curious about how my work unfolds, or you've been considering creating a course yourself and want perspective on how I do it, make sure to tune in. And don't forget to get on the waitlist for HLA, so you can be the first to know when it opens, and get discounts and exclusive content.

  • 210: How to give your inner child a mental health day

In today's podcast, I explore the concept of how burnout is often related to the overworked, overburdened inner child. I explain the basics of what an inner child is and how we all have one; how they become wounded; how we end up burning them out; and the solution — creating an inner child "play date" that gives them the rest, relaxation and play they so often desperately need.

Intrigued by this concept? I encourage you to come pop in the Sunday Soother Membership for June, where the teaching and workbook is all around Playful Healing for Your Inner Child. $44, and you can sign up, consume the materials for this month, then dip out after.

  • 209: A life update, a biz update, and some exciting news!

Hey Soothers! Take a ramble, both literal and metaphorical with me, as I recorded this podcast for you while out on a walk in nature (and bear with me, the sound quality isn't at its top and there are a few annoying clicks at the start — but they end, promise). I catch you up a bit on my life, how moving into the nature witch cottage has gone, how my identity has shifted, and some fears and scarcity I've been working through. I also share some exciting business updates and new offers inspired by my recent work with my biz coach. I'm launching two new ways to work with me. First up is VIP 1:1 days — either virtual, or with me in person here in my town! We can do a VIP biz day on your business, or in designing your life and setting some big and juicy goals. I also talk about my upcoming fall offering, the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy (HLA) and how you can find out more about that!

VIP Day info is here: https://www.catherinedandrews.com/vip-day

  • 206: Bettering your money mindset as an HSP and empath with executive coach Cat Wood

Do you struggle with scarcity, fears around money and feeling timid managing finances as an empath or a highly sensitive person? You're not alone. I find that many of us sensitive folks are not... great with money. Complicated emotions, guilt, family stories, shame or fear can keep us all feeling really scarce and struggling to increase our abundance, whether that's financially or just generally in the way we think.

That's why I wanted to have Cat Wood on the podcast. She's a successful entrepreneur who runs an executive coaching business, and her money mindset is on point (her podcast is even called The Prosperous Empath). I knew of Cat because she also came from a background in Washington D.C., where she worked for the federal government before becoming a coach, but this is the first time we got to connect one on one. We talk all things entrepreneurship, why empaths can struggle with claiming abundance, how we built our businesses, our favorite money mindset resources and lots more. When a Capricorn and a Taurus get together to talk money and biz, watch out; there's a lot of good stuff here!

You can find Cat at unbounded-potential.com and on Instagram @unboundedpotential, and on her podcast, The Prosperous Empath.

  • 205: Would money want to be your business partner?

Remember episode 195, where I ranted about how 'the universe loves a creative bitch?' Well, I'm back with a similar concept around money. And the question/reflection here is, would money want to be YOUR business partner? Money loves KNOWING how it will be used. Money loves being used to support the growth of others. Money loves a PURPOSEFUL partner. Money loves to be well-managed. In short, money wants to be your business partner. So are you being the right kind of business partner that would attract money into your life, or is money looking askance at you thinking, "I would not invest in that person, uh no thank you"? You're not alone, if so. Tune in to how you can become the creative bitch business partner that money just can't stay away from.

  • 204: How to increase nervous system capacity so you get triggered less

Triggers: we all got 'em, and we all want to have less of them! I think people believe or experience triggers as mental experiences, where we lash out at a person or take action we regret, but I'm here to tell you that triggers have everything to do with your nervous system and its capacity. If you can rewire your nervous system to be more grounded, hold more emotions, and not tip over quite as easily, you will get triggered less, and it's a beautiful thing. We can increase this capacity in a number of different ways, from diet to physical care to creating more spaciousness in our lives. So that's what I'm here to offer today, tips on increasing your capacity so you don't get triggered as often.
