Hey Soothers! Did you know it's been four years and one month since I left my corporate job and leapt into the great unknown of starting and running my creative online teaching and life coaching and writing and whatever the heck else I do business? I thought I'd take some time to reflect on lessons I've learned about running a business these past four years. In this episode I talk about why you don't need to f*cking scale your business, why regulation is the most important business skill you can learn, how 2023 has been for me compared to past years financially, what I'm noticing in what my audience is desiring, trends I'm generally seeing in the industry, and more. Enjoy!

Hey Soothers! Listen to a special replay of the Soothe open house I did this week. In the first half, we go over the Soothe mastermind and coaching program and how it is structured and what you can expect, and then around 30 minutes in (skip ahead if you're not interested in Soothe 2024) I share about my work with herbs, flower essences and plant medicine. Hope this is fun for you to learn about! And remember, this content is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute providing medical advice or professional services. Always check with your intuition and health care provider before considering any of the things I talk about in this episode.
Right now Soothe has an earlybird discount of $1500 until October 31. Read about Soothe at https://www.catherinedandrews.com/soothe

Are you finding yourself in a moment of transition, change, or upleveling? I know I am and I've heard this echoed from many of you in the Soother audience, too. As my work shifts and evolves, and I do too, I ponder today what we can do to gently support ourselves and steward ourselves as we navigate a time of uncertainty or upleveling. Plus, a live Tarot reading on this topic, too!

This week, I talk about how one of the biggest fear I see in women when they think about taking non-traditional or unconventional risks (leaving a job, moving, anything financial-related) is the big, scary fear of either being arrested/ending up in jail, or ending up homeless, or as a "bag lady." We may poke fun at ourselves when we name this fear, but it has a really serious, deep and ancestral origin that's based in historical occurrences of the past, and I want to dive into that today. Hopefully with this context we can understand where these types of fears come from, why they are with us, and how we can begin to move through them and heal them.

Hey Soothers! In today's podcast, I explain a metaphor I've been using a lot in my 1:1 coaching lately: That of the rock, and the river. In this metaphor, the rock is the person tossed around by the river, at the mercy of the river, without much agency or control in how it gets swept along. The river, on the other hand, is the life force that moves as it will. When we're in passive mode, not setting boundaries, giving away our power to others, we can think of that like being the rock. But when we're the river, we shift into a force of energy that is powerful. So tune in to hear about how you can become more like the river in your own life.

As I continue to talk about leadership and promote the Highly Sensitive Person Leadership Academy, a theme I want to touch on is that Small Leadership is a skill we're all going to be called on to develop in coming years. This is especially needed as we go into the diminishment of many larger systems outside of us, that we have up until now counted on to lead us. We're in a time when we're moving away from large, monolithic leadership, and we're going into an era of learning to rely on, tend to, step up within local communities. I know a lot of you don't view yourself as leaders, but I'm urging you to reconsider. Leadership isn't going to be optional in the future. We're all going to be called to step up in some way, whether we plan for it or not, whether we want to or not. And that's my mission with HLA. To give you the skills to handle leadership, when that time inevitably comes. That, to me, is small leadership.
HLA is now open, with enrollment closing October 1st. Just head here: http://www.catherinedandrews.com/hla

In the final day of the HSP Leadership Summit, we discussed creating the identity of a leader. Listen in to this audio replay to understand and learn about how to shift into the beliefs, thoughts, actions and identity of a leader (or whatever area you're looking to grow into). You're always changing and growing, whether you're aware of it or not — and when you choose to consciously cultivate and grow your identity, and do it intentionally and with purpose, that's when real change can happen.

Hey there, pod listeners! Here is the audio replay of night 2 of my HSP Leadership Training Summit. In it, we share about impostor syndrome. And then I walk you through live Emotional Freedom Technique Tapping (or EFT) to feel deserving at the workplace, confident as a leader, and that will stop that questioning voice in your head, wondering if you’re good enough to do your role, or if folks are talking about you or questioning you behind your back.
Ever wanted to try EFT but didn't know where to start? Give this audio a listen where I walk workshop attendees through live EFT tapping and let me know how it goes for you!
In HLA, we'll have monthly EFT tapping workshops on leadership-related topics, that will then be placed in a library for you to use whenever you need, at any time.
