Ladies and gents, the time has come. It is DC Peaks week and we're PUMPED to talk about our race and runners for this year's DC Peaks 50 miler. We have put our heart and soul into making all of our events top tier events so we hope you love them as much as we do.
This week we get into the craziness that exploded across the ultrarunning world when "legendary" ultrarunner Camille Herron and her husband were caught edited wikipedia pages to make herself seem better than her peers while deleting accomplishments from their pages. We also spend the rest of the episode diving into our favorite 100 miler, The Bear, and the stacked field of runners they have running it this weekend.
The IMTUF 100 is an incredible 100 mile ultramarathon in Idaho that Jake and Mick have both ran. The Race Director, Jeremy Humphreys, is an awesome RD and we want to show some love to this race and give their runners some love as well.
Come on in and join our post-UTMB discussion about the carnage that happened at the UTMB 100. We also go in-depth on this year's stacked field in the Wasatch 100 and who we think will come out on top.
The Ultimate ultramarathon is happening this weekend, UTMB, and we predict who will land on the men and women's podium as well as who will take home the whole thing.
This week go into the UTMB CCC 100k race that is happening next week! We talk a little more about the Olympics, our favorite ultra running moments so far this year, and then dive deep into the field at CCC.
This week we dive into the upcoming White Pine 50 instead of Leadville 100 because for some reason Leadville is secretive about who runs their race (weird, right?).
This week we dive into the Bigfoot 200 and go through the challengers that are toeing the line in Washington.
This week we're going deep...real deep...into the DC Peaks 50 mile ultramarathon course as we have had to make a couple big changes that will affect those that have ran this course previously. This episode is a great resource for anyone running our races, or are looking to run our races.
In this episode, we discuss the possibility of ultra trail running in the olympics - what would the distances be? How would athletes qualify? What countries would dominate ultra trail running?
