This week, it’s another SOLO episode with yours truly!
In this week’s episode of Spinsterhood Reimagined, I talk about living alone and why I bloody love it. I talk about my current hobbit-sized flat, how I came to live in it, and how it truly is my sanctuary.
I also talk about some of the wonderful advantages of living solo, including the more superficial things (like getting to listen to your own music and watch what you want on TV) - as well as the more significant things (like not having to deal with someone else's moods, and having the physical, mental and spiritual space to grow.)
People often perceive women who live by themselves as somehow tragic, or sad, or lonely, or miserable. But that's because they've never stopped to think about (or experience) the wonderful benefits that having our very own place affords us. Because, quite frankly, it would take someone seriously awesome for me to even consider giving up the joy that is living alone.
I hope that you enjoy this episode and that some of it resonates with you.
